Yes. Both pieces arrive in your cart as separate lines, so you can remove either one on the cart page. For a different device color, add that color from the product page link under the kit and remove the original on the cart page. The 50% applies to whatever is in the cart.

Yes. The discount is 50% off every item in the cart, applied automatically at checkout. It is valid once per customer and can't be combined with other codes.
Can I buy two kits?
